As a Delivery Operations Supervisor, you will be a partner to our Delivery Manager and take ownership for the success of our 28,000+ sq. ft. flow through delivery center. You’ll bring a customer-centric and supportive leadership style comprised of high standards and integrity as you support our team of delivery professionals (13 in total) responsible for the prep and delivery of high quality, American-made home furnishings to customers throughout Boston and the surrounding area.

 

This position is located at 1 Enterprise Road, Billerica, MA, just 20 miles from Boston (45 miles from Manchester). Our facility is surrounded by historic places such as Walden Pond and Lexington Battle Green as well as many shopping and dining destinations.

 

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate the overall accurate and quality flow of goods through our facility while meeting or exceeding key delivery and distribution measures with a continuous priority on and an understanding of delivery’s relationship to a successful customer experience.
  • Provide collaborative and inclusive leadership of staff members in Inventory, Repair and Merchandise Quality roles (3 direct reports total) and foster a culture that focuses on providing our customers with the highest quality product and delivery services. Focus on staff member development, supporting experiences that enrich their careers, support their personal and professional growth and foster a learning environment.
  • Cultivate a culture of rich personal connections where each staff member is engaged and attentive to the needs of the customer, providing exceptional service throughout the delivery process.
  • With emphasis on the first date of delivery, strategize and support processes that promote efficiencies. Improve and enhance the delivery experience based on customer feedback, observations, etc.
  • Support all financial and operational aspects of the business, care for company assets and safety measures.

You’re a dynamic and professional leader. You’ll bring demonstrated experience building teams of high-caliber individuals who are passionate about customer service. You’ll work first to know your team and understand the business before you jump in and change the work. You’ll bring experience in logistics, delivery/distribution and or retail management with an operational focus. You are results oriented, but aren’t bound by rigid processes or rules. You’re strategic, collaborative and take a customer centric approach to your work. You possess strong communication and interpersonal skills and have the ability to build meaningful relationships.
