As our Product Compliance Specialist, you will partner closely with internal and external stakeholders (product team, finance, vendor partners, industry associations) on implementation, measurement, and communication of Room & Board’s product compliance program. Please note: This role is hybrid 2-3 days in the office. Not considering remote.

 

You will share your talents as a Product Compliance Specialist in the following ways: 

  • Project Coordination: You will support and coordinate projects to ensure the company delivers on product compliance priorities and builds the company’s capacity to address risk and opportunities. You will partner collaboratively across the company to implement product compliance programs, policies, procedures, and best practice techniques.
  • Product Compliance: you will support the implementation of product compliance program that ensures compliance with all federal, state, and local environmental, health, and safety regulations for our Room & Board products. You will support tracking product compliance metrics, interpreting and analyzing product compliance metrics.
  • Education and Communication: you will support communication strategies that will educate, inspire, and influence internal and external partners related to environmental, health and safety. You will coordinate the planning and implementation of annual training plans, as needed.
  • Data, Measurement and Reporting: You will support the gathering, maintaining and analyzing of product compliance data, measurement, and reporting efforts.

 

You will bring the following experience & qualifications as a Product Compliance Specialist: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in safety, environmental health, chemistry, or related field.
  • 2-5 years of experience supporting product compliance initiatives; retail and/or furniture industry experience preferred.
  • Well organized, detail oriented and high level of self-motivation.
  • Experience supporting regulatory compliance and the ability to read, analyze, and interpret procedures and regulations.
  • Demonstrated project coordination skills.
  • Proven success collaborating across multiple business areas to achieve results and deliver meaningful results on time.
  • Strong analytical skills, strategic critical thinking skills, and able to shift easily between multiple projects.
  • Ability to synthesize complex data and share it with others in a way that is easy to understand.
  • Strong PowerPoint and Excel skills.
