At Room & Board, the Digital Content Creator plays a key role in producing high-quality media that promotes our products, enhances the customer journey, and strengthens our brand presence across digital platforms—with a strong emphasis on motion and video. This role is part of a highly collaborative and creative team that values curiosity, agility, and mutual respect. You'll work closely with our Design Director, Video Producer, Senior Social Media Specialist, and other internal partners to conceptualize and implement digital design solutions that support marketing strategies from concept to completion. With a focus on increasing engagement and reach across organic and paid platforms, the Digital Content Creator ensures a cohesive look and feel across all branded content, including paid, organic, and subscribed digital channels—all while contributing to a team culture that's welcoming and passionate about the work we do.

Please note: This is a hybrid role with a schedule of 3 days in the office. We are not currently considering fully remote candidates or candidates willing to relocate to Minnesota at this time. 

 

You will share your talents with us in the following ways as a Digital Content Creator: 

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with the Design Director, Senior Social Media Specialist, and Digital Marketing Manager to develop and execute content strategies. 
  • Conceptualize, capture, and edit engaging video and photography content for paid and organic platformsincluding Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, TikTok, LinkedIn, and YouTube. This includes in-store, in-studio, and on-location shoots, with editing tailored to various formats and aspect ratios while maintaining a consistent brand voice and visual style. 
  • Stay current on social trends, competitor activity, and platform algorithms to ensure content relevance and performance.
  • Create and maintain a digital asset library of content and templates.
  • Partner with analytics teams to evaluate content performance and adapt creative accordingly.
  • Work with external partners to manage the flow of paid content.
  • Push creative boundaries while maintaining brand consistency and standards.

Qualifications and experiences you'll bring as a Digital Content Creator:

  • 3–5+ years of experience in an agency or corporate design setting with a focus on video production for social media.
  • Degree in graphic design, marketing, or related field. 
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite or similar tools (e.g., Figma, Creatopy).
  • Strong understanding of social media trends and digital marketing strategies.
  • A collaborative mindset and strong interpersonal communication skills. 
  • A curious and proactive approach to learning and staying ahead of digital trends. 
  • Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize multiple projects under guidance.
  • Receptive to feedback and able to adjust work accordingly.
  • Passion for design and home furnishings, with an appreciation for the Room & Board brand.
